This week we got: black beans (unexpected), lettuces, kale, pea shoots/tips (love those stir fried in some ghee and garlic), arugula, baby turnips that can be eaten raw like kohlrabi, and a zucchini. I'm happy about the zucchini since I've stopped buying them at the store. All varieties (except organic) are GMO, and organic zucchini is out of my price range for what you get.
Next week's share might be pretty sparse (or maybe there will be nada) due to the weird spring weather that made planting some things late or impossible, and is making other things take longer to grow/mature.
This is what's going down in the backyard. Peter is too old for playhouse, so yes, it is a chicken coop.
