Worms Anyone?

We have - for the taking - 10,000 or so red wrigglers. They will happily turn your vegetarian food scraps into the world's most lovely compost.


Why are we giving them away? We have TOO TOO MANY.

We started out last September with maybe 1,200 or so babies. They've been munching and procreating away this past winter, spring, and half-summer. Its time to thin the herd, and begin anew.

So - we began last fall with a handful of tiny worms and some shredded paper. Over the past 9 or so months we've added about equal amounts food scraps and shredded paper. I can't even begin to image what the volume of that food and paper would be in its undigested and un-evaporated form - tens of buckets at the least. But this is the volume of the end product.

Two buckets. Simply amazing.
