After the first somewhat disconcerting night (their noises were odd and kinda freaked me out) we are getting used to them. They are also getting used to us.
The first day or so they hid in their huts, but now every time I walk by they come on over and chirp at at me - Hey, how about just one more stick of celery before bed? C'mon, its good for my teeth. We barely have room for these two little creatures, but we did managed to squeeze them in under the stairs...although that meant we had to find a new home for the coat rack, the mittens basket, and the case of beer.
Today was the expat club Easter party. And as I write, I remember blogging about this a year ago....time sure does fly.
The party was held at a farm with a brand new barn (the old one went down in the last hurricane), and a beautiful & giant garden that was perfect for an egg hunt. Peter also had a pretty good time playing soccer with another big boy that we don't get to see too often. He's getting the hang of soccer, and he's recently taken an interest in baseball (since we watched the most recent version of The Bad News Bears, which was a mistake on my part because now he knows ALL the bad words).
Why not click here for a guinea pig song & dance?
And YES! - living with guinea pigs is just THIS exciting!
