I was planning on doing a blog post early Monday morning (my time). And here it is late afternoon. I'm all screwed up in my head because Rich took today off work, so it feels like Sunday.
Friday:
We visited the train museum located right downtown. Since the kids on Fyn have this week off as winter break they had extra toys set out (all sorts of train sets - Thomas, Geotracks, Barbie, Playmobile, Lego). They also had these muppets scattered about but Peter decided they all needed to be in one place.

Saturday:
I can't remember why, but Peter has taken an interest in cacti lately. So for his Valentine's Day gift we let him pick out a couple, and make a hygge little desert-scape. We also made some cheesy bread. Its a pain to get decent bread here, so I think we're going to try to start making our own more often. And from the looks of the always empty flour pallet at the grocery - it seems lots of people have the same idea.
Sunday:
We went down to Svendborg and showed dad what Naturama is all about (stuffed animals - taxidermy, not fluff).
The special exhibit right now is some animal/fantasy art by some famous Danish guy - Hans Somebodyorother. You go into a dark room, and when you poke your head through the holes you can see yourself in the picture via a mirror.
Monday:
We were having trouble deciding what to do. It has been sneeting all day, so we needed something indoors - and we chose the reptile zoo Terrariet i Vissenbjerg.
So, this isn't the clearest photo, but in the water is this extremely large turtle, with a head that looks like a leaf. We think it might be something we've read about in our rain forest book - the Matamata turtle.
While we were there, the animals were being fed. Salad for turtles, grasshoppers for lizards...Peter diligently waited by the *kitchen* and then followed the young blond zookeeper around to each cage until she was done.
Whew - what a workout. And, after days of
going going going,
Peter wants to just
play play play.
My little enegizer bunny.
