Pete's Week

Peter's school spent this week in the forest. From the first moment he heard about what was planned - he didn't want to go. (One of the reasons for switching daycare was so that he would have to spend less time outside.) Well, Tuesday was extremely rainy - not just drizzling, so I kept him home. Luckily, that very same day his Halloween costume arrived from Grandma Connie.

Wednsday was not quite as bad, but still not what I'd call pleasant, but I took him anyway. On that day they made a fire, roasted some corn on the cob, and did a lantern art project. He told me that the day was - no fun!

Today its been sunny since this afternoon and when I asked Pete if he had a good day - he said Yes, he had a lot of fun today. They used knives to whittle swords, and went for an adventure it the woods.

The place.

The knife and his whittled stick.
