What should we talk about?

That's Pete's key phrase at dinner, or in the car...What should we talk about? How about wolves? Or cats? Let's talk about super heroes! Not now Pete, Let's just talk about what we've been up to the last few days.

Thursday we made another trip to the doctor to get Pete's face checked out. I was able to meet with somebody other than doctor Ole, which I was happy about, until... All these people do is stare at their computers! Hey, the sick kid is over here. Maybe you might actually want to actually examine him.

I'd had enough, so I told doctor Charlotte, I have private insurance and I'd like to see an allergist or pediatrician. She told me that she could talk about that with me when I return two weeks later. Oh, so that's the way its going to be huh?

Friday we visited a sensory garden called Sansehaven. This playground is connected with Strandvænget, a large institution for the disabled. They let people use the playgrounds, picnic areas, and beach so long as the residents are respected.

Some of The residents were out walking around, some were picnicking with workers. Pete had some questions about why they looked a certain way, why they talked a certain way. So it was good for him to see these different people, and for us to talk about them.

Below is a bird cage located in a resident neighborhood like area. It was cool. It had water and water plants on the bottom, a nice bird hut, and of course birds.

Pete chatting with the girls.

This was just one type of *home* that residents lived in; like little town homes out to a garden courtyard. Not such a bad place.

The sensory garden consisted of lots of outdoor play equipment. Some of the regular things like balance beams, stepping logs; but also some new things like a punching ball, music makers, and colored windows. After weaving through the playground stuff and having lunch, we headed on down to the beach, also located on the property.

That is THE bridge (the long long long one to Copenhagen) in the background. Its really quite impressive. Especially when you see tiny specks out in the ocean - which are really huge cargo ships...you know this bridge is big.

Costume change after he got washed over by a small wave. I'm getting much better at remembering to bring the essentials (extra cloths, a slicing knife, band aids...)

This place gets a score of 10 from me and everyone else that went that day. It was just a really nice place to spend the day.
