That same day some boys were playing outside across the way. Pete asked if he could go over, and of course I said yes. He still has trouble saying anything when he first meets kids; he waits for them to say something. So its always some sort of staring match at first. Then the kids speak in Danish, and then Pete does his best with his version of sign language and kid noises.

Making art and friends
Nope, not a friend named Art...REAL art. I don't know how they got Pete to paint at bornhave the other day; he is usually firmly anti-art. Anyway, he was quiet proud of his picture, and he decided that he would like to hang it next to his chair at the dinner table.
