Torn between two lovers

Today the Danes celebrate another holiday - Ascension Day I think. The only people working are bus divers, restaurant people...that kind of holiday work. Oh yeah, and Rich is working too; there is a project that needs to get done. Not super surprisingly two of four workers have bailed claiming who knows what. All that's left is Rich and another guy...from MN. Why didn't they just say nej in the first place?

Anyway, Peter has the day off from borehave, not that he's been there much lately - and I don't know if that's a good or bad thing either. When I picked him up yesterday they were all out on the playground. Pete was fighting with another boy for a ball. I couldn't tell who had rights to the ball - who had it first. But what I did see, I did not like. The boy grabbed the ball from him, and then you could see in Pete's eyes - Oh, you wanna fight me for that? Well HERE I COME. Oh Pete...loving both of you is breaking all the rules. I'm glad he can hold his own, but I don't like seeing him act this way.

Some moms have commented that bornehave makes the kids aggressive. I think they just want to be paid attention to. Its a go-and-do-your-own-thing kind of place, no structure, minimal group activities. Good behavior gets ignored, bad behavior gets you noticed. Kids need to learn to sort things out themselves, but they also like and need some attention to give them feedback on the way they are behaving.
