Legoland...and more

Friday was our first time visiting THE original Legoland. Before arriving there, Pete kept saying that he knew what rides he wanted to go on...he'd been there before... (he thought we were going the "legoland" at the Mall of America). Now he knows the difference.

It was a playgroup, double b-day party, event extravaganza. My big goof-up of the day was buying a present for the wrong kid - I bought a present for Anna who is 6 years old, when I was supposed to buy one for Emma - 3 years old. Luckily I did get the boy gift right.

And, of course there was a lego cake.

Here is a people dryer. It was located near the water rides.

Pete driving the safari car. I heard a lot of - I can do it myself - that day. And he can - he is capable, and he follows the rules.

After lunch it rained, a nice hard rain for a good hour. All the kids had their rain gear and it didn't slow them down a bit.

Since Thursday was a holy holiday, many people took Friday as a holiday too. So, Legoland was really really crowded. Because of the people, and the rain, we just didn't get to do everything I would have liked to...like the aquarium, the 3D theatre, things like that. We also could have spent a good half-day just looking at the mini lego world. There were different *cities* with trains, boats, buses, and cars that moved along on their routes. It was all so detailed, true to scale...Oh well, next time.

We ended the day with a lion balloon and a Mars Mission lego kit.

Sunday we went to Givskud zoo with some friends. It could easily have been the best day of the year so far - a slight breeze, not a cloud in the sky, and temps around 65 degrees. And, after watching Pete play with Jens, I'm finding out that Pete knows more Danish than I thought.

Looks like trouble to me.
