No thanks Pete, I don't want anymore popcorn.
Although the strike continues, I was allowed to take Pete to bornhave this morning. He is OK to go this week, but next week is up in the air. This morning I read in the Danish paper that the workers now may be willing to compromise on their previous 15% pay raise demand.
The short version of the article is that if an agreement between the strikers and their union is not reached soon, the government will intervene, and then they (the strikers) will have no control over the outcome. Pete not being in school may be an inconvenience for me, but can you imagine if you had a relative in a nursing home, and imagine that even though you are still paying for their care (like I am still paying for Pete's school) - you were the one having to administer that care.
