This last week Auntie Carol cheered Pete on. He’s catching on to the way game is played (as much as a little kid can), and screwing around in the time in between (as much as a little kid can get away with).
The tomatoes must have ears (flat, invisible ones) becuase the day after I was complaining about their greeness – voila! – they started turning red.
Lucky Finds of Late
I recently finished Surface Tension by Russell Celyn Jones. I picked it up for fifty cents at the library bookstore, and it was a winner (I’m soooo happy when that happens, because sadly I’m often disappointed). Does anybody want it? Otherwise I’ll be donating it to Paulette’s lake library.
Also at the library I stumbled across Lisa Loeb’s Catch the Moon CD for kids. Mom (Connie) took this with her and Pete on their road trip last weekend, and it got high ratings. I’m always looking for listenable kid music that isn’t Dan Zanes (or some wannabe) or some really happy prissy lady with a guitar oo la la-ing.
Oh yeah, my second eye surgery went fine. Looks like I’ll probably have pretty good vision in both eyes when it’s all said and done.
