Pete has been trying out a few new foods. He was excited about the tomatoes turning red. He liked the first bite, but once he got into the good juicy, seedy part he didn’t like it so much anymore. But it was a good start – he was excited to try it.
Last night he really mowed on the corn. I still have to eat off a very shallow outside layer, but I’ve been leaving more and more of the whole kernels and I think he’s getting used to the texture and flavor (especially the salt, the salt needs to be moved AWAY from his reach).
I also put some plain hummus on a bagel. He wondered why the cream cheese had turned brown. I got him to lick some off, he didn’t necessarily like it, but I think he’ll try it again. Keep your fingers crossed, we need to expand our protein options. I’m also going to try some falafel balls this weekend. Anybody have other protein suggestions? – without chicken, eggs, or turkey.
