Blooming

I've got lots of color out in the front yard right now. The butterfly weed that I planted from seed last year just bloomed (for the first time ever) this week. Its the orange one. Lovely.

Yesterday evening I spotted a watermelon! This plant was grown from a seed, saved from a very tasty watermelon, from Grandma B's garden, last year.

First red tomato - a cherry tomato from one of the plants we have on the deck. Another saved from seed plant.

Peter is not a lover of tomatoes.  I don't know why we wasted the first one on his picky palate.
