Where can you see something as cool! as a scarecrow knitted entirely of old plastic bags...

And as creepy as this - I don't know what this is...

The Great Minnesota State Get Together that's where. We went the Sunday before school started. I wore jeans and a fleece. I have NEVER EVER worn pants to the fair before. It was that oddly cool that day.

We pretty much did Pete stuff. Giant slide (this year he slid on his own burlap mat), butterfly garden, ice cream, kid's barn, skate border dudes. I got to have a quick tour of the crafts and eco buildings. But other than that it was all kiddie stuff this time around. And that alone took us around 7 hours to complete.

The day ended at the milk stand. All you can drink milk for $1. Once Peter understood the concept he was ready to go. He started with a glass of white, then moved on to chocolate. He had planned to drink 20 glasses I think, but he only made it through most of glass #2. I think in all, Rich had 5 - which impressed Peter quite a bit. After stopping at the bathroom, we carried his bloated body to the bus and headed home.
