This past memorial weekend we kept ourselves busy with a trip to Outback Nursery near Hastings to get some native shrubs for the front yard. Being less than a mile from the St. Croix river, we headed on over to the Wisconsin side, found a beach, and let Pete swim in his shorts.
From there we headed on to the farm to visit with grandma and grandpa. No stopping along the way however - since the only dry cloths Peter had were his undies.
On Sunday, the neighbor boy invited Peter to see Shrek #3. They were home sooner than expected though. Too scary. Witches and such. But it did prompt him to start wearing his knight outfit non-stop the rest of the weekend.
And then on Monday we let the boys (that would be Pete and the neighbor boy) paint the rainbarrels.
