

The room was crowded with the kids, the teachers, almost every parent (mom and dad in most cases), and even some grandparents.
This was not quite the case in the "regular" kindergarten classroom across the hall. They probably had less than 1/4 of parents visiting. This is one of the reasons we chose immersion. We've read that immersion parents are usually more involved (they have both the ability and the desire to be). The thought is that this sort of support results in kids who interact better with each other and the teachers, and that in turn makes school a better place to learn - and just be.
