Its beginning...

to look a lot like Christmas.

I like that song, so slow and mellow...Its a good way to put the brakes on in your mind. Try it.

For this years's Santa visit we once again returned to the nature center in Oakdale. They put on a great day - santa with candy and you can take your own photos, the nature center stuff to look at, hot & cold drinks, doughnuts & hot dogs with chips, an art project, an outdoor bon fire with smores, live animals, and a hay ride though the woods. And its all free. Just lovely.

Santa reads Pete's letter. This Santa is the same one as last year, and he even speaks Danish.

Hear anything Pete? I think it only works for shells. A smaller version of this kind of horn will be put in his stocking by Santa. Its a horn-horn (a horn instrument made from a cow horn) that I picked up at the viking museum on Fyn.

Grandma C reads the art project directions.

Pete discovers the flavor! sensation! of a peppermint candy cane dipped in hot chocolate.

The day after Santa, Peter went to the farm to help Grandma B make and decorate cookies.

Working hard.

Taste testing.

Aunite Carol caught-on-film.
