We had a birthday party this past Friday. Its pretty much standard form to make a birthday card. Although Peter has been getting better about doing art, Art-On-Demand is another thing. This time around, I decided to make the birthday girl's initial out of cardboard, and then I tossed out a bunch of decorating options. He started out with glitter glue, but then quickly switched over to the less messy markers.
Needless to say, he had a great time...he got to play with his buddy, he got a goodie bag, and he got to eat cake! It was shaped like a starfish, it was egg-free, and it was yummy.
We also had a dad show up in place of a mom this week. And this dad is always something of a Pied Piper. Whenever he's around the kids always seem to pack up around him at some point.
For our weekend excursion we picked the Middelfart and Strib area of northwest Fyn. Near Strib there is a place called Røjleskov, which has cliffs made of clay that slump when saturated. I don't know of many/any private beaches in Denmark, it seems that public ones are everywhere. I wish it were this way in the U.S.
