Boys. Or is it just mine?

Peter has been shuffling in to cuddle with me in the morning since he started sleeping outside of a crib. So - long-long time. It used to be super sweet, snuggle up to mommy, smile, and giggle. Now he’s bigger, not sooo very sweet (although he has his flashback moments), and he's also usually chock full of energy.

Anyway, this morning he wanted me to tell the three bears story (longer story there on why that was specifically requested). He likes that I change it around a bit, add things, make it scarier, funnier, or grosser. I thought I was doing a pretty good job, but before I could get there Peter had to interject his preferred ending to the story. He said something like this…

Mom, mom, mom...When she tries to run away, I want the daddy bear to get to the door first and close it. And then from outside you can see the blood oozing out the bottom of the door, and you can hear her screams like this, ahhhhh!!!

The weather was beautiful again yesterday. Since we have been without a car for almost a full week, I needed to stock up on some groceries. My favorite store for these basic things is Netto located 2 neighborhoods away. I can get 98% of the way there on a series of bikes trails. Yesterday, I hooked up the bike trailer to haul the groceries, and Peter road along on his own. 2.39 miles there and 2.39 miles back. Easy peasy.

His reward was stopping at a small park on the way home, having a juice box, and playing a bit.

Dizzy joy.

Just plain dizzy.
