Last Weekend

Friday we were invited to the zoo with Lone and her son Jens. After a initial quite period, the kids warmed up to each other and had a good time together. It was fun hearing Pete copy Jens' Danish words. Pete actually no longer says - no. He now prefers to say - nej (pronounced nie).





There is a pond Pete and I go by everyday on our bike ride to school. On Saturday we decided to go there and feed the ducks. I think that this was actually Pete's first duck-feeding experience.


And...Rich and I had a Danish lunch on Saturday. We tried out the curried pickled herring & pickled beets on dark bread. Not Bad. On special occasions you would drink it with the snaps. Pete's lunch - the standard pear, rice cake, and oreos. Oye!
