Two weekends back Pete went to a U of MN wrestling tournament. He said he was a little scared (what if Tiana and her friend were mean?). They weren't. He had a fun time.
Then this last weekend Pete was in a wrestling tournament. He was VERY scared. He didn't want to get "beat up" and "come home dead". Once he got there, saw his teammates and his coach, he decided to wrestle. And he got second place! (I skipped out on this, too stressful.)
At Pete's request, we've signed him up for fencing. After two sessions all I know is that the helmet is annoyingly heavy. Hey Pete - I don't hear the girls in your group complaining.
Chinese New Year Celebrations continue - on and on and on. There was dinner at a friends house on "the night". There was a party in the classroom a week later. This weekend there was a festival at school. Next week will be the big performance-slash-concert. Man these Chinese sure like to party.
Here is Pete not so happily having his picture taken with queen Zhu and king Zhao. Or is that emperor and empress??
