I was going to post first day of school pix, etc. But on the morning of the third day of school I got a call from the school nurse letting me know that Peter had a belly ache. I thought he might have new-school jitters, but when he said he could not wait until after recess for me to pick him up, I knew the ache wasn't fake.
That was around 10:30 am. By 7:00 pm Peter was waking up from an 'appy'. That's nurse slang for having your appendix removed.
We can now check that little body part off the list of things to go wrong in the futurre.
