Friday we made a little road trip down to Wabasha to meet up with some friends at the National Eagle Center. Peter is kind of turning into Grandpa Steve (when the camera comes out, the smile goes away).
Don't worry Grandmas! That eagle is not mean or dangerous. The guy just wants to make sure that if it poops, it shoots away from the kids.
The drive down to Wabasha took us through Hastings, Red Wing, and Lake City. All pretty cute Mississippi River valley towns, even on a gray and rainy day. On the way home we stopped off at the Anderson Center to run off some steam in their sculpture garden.
Being able to see the new baby was nice, spring break and friends were nice - but I'm pretty excited to wait outside for that school bus tomorrow morning!
