The container has come and gone. We were a complete mess until about 7 pm yesterday evening. Now the upstairs (where we spend most of our time) is fairly organized. There are things to sit on, and no boxes in the way to weave in and out of. That doesn't mean that we are unpacked. Far from it. About 85% of our stuff is in the basement, still in boxes...I'm going to pull a Scarlett O'Hara and just not think about them for a while.
However, in one of the boxes I happened to unpack was the camera software. Now all is right in that little corner of my world.
So let's see. The weekend before last we headed on down to the Dakota County fair. Tianna joined 4H this year and did a great job making jelly, cookies, and showing two pigs. I believe she earned one (or more) blue ribbons. She also had a great time and met some new friends.

A couple of days later it was Rich's birthday. We celebrated with pizza and trip to the Dairy Queen. And although that sounds simply picturesque, we had our moments.
The following weekend we headed back on down to the farm to harvest edamame, and a *few* other items - tomatoes, corn, apples, and cucumbers. It was wonderful and totally overwhelming all at the same time.
Peter wasn't too interested in what I was doing. Instead he had a good time hanging out with Carol and Grandpa.
Its getting to be that part of the season where produce gets a bit out of control. So before feeding the over-ripe cucumbers to the pigs, Carol and Pete had a little cuke-tossing contest. Just the sort of thing a 5-yr-old boy likes to do.
