The end of last week finally brought some fun for Peter. We had his buddy (and his *mum* - they speak English English) over on Thursday, Friday we joined playgroup at the bowling alley in Svendborg (South Fyn, nice change of pLace), and on Saturday we went to another expat family's home (2 girls - but they had TONS of Playmobile stuff, so he was in heaven).

We were served fresh bread rolls and cinnamon rolls at our friend's home. Being the family baker - that gave Rich a hankering (his word) to make some eggless sweet rolls of his own. So that was Sunday's activity.
Peter's arm seems to be healing very well. He still has the bandage on, but his range of movement it quite good, and he's started to draw with his *bad* arm again, things like that. But I'm still keeping him out of daycare this week. I'm actually probably going to cancel our spot there sometime this week (the day I decide to have the car). Although the teachers have been better than I expected, the big boy "click" (5 and 6 years) has not taken Peter into their group, and the other children are quite a bit younger (2 and 3 years maybe - which is a lot in kid years).
These boys have been a group for probably a year or two, and although they aren't beating him up, he gets told that he is "too young" or "too boring" to play with them. Danish custom for adults is to not intervene with these sorts of teasings or disputes. They are supposed to work it out on their own. And although I agree with that (to a point), this place doesn't have any more kids. So rather than have him getting badgered everyday for something that's not likely to change, I think I'll just pull him out for the rest of our time here. On the bright side, in the coming months the weather will only get better and better and we can go out exploring again.
