Recovery Week

It takes us a lot longer to adjust to the time change traveling from the US to DK. Its now Sunday morning, and Peter finally rolled out of bed at 8 am - which is pretty late for him. Last week I managed to get him to daycare on Tuesday and Wednesday, but just could not muster the effort to get us going on Thursday.

Friday was playgroup at the zoo. They are again doing the "Vinterzoo" thing. They have some pine trees scattered about, along with burning oil lamps, torches, and coal grills. And every once in a while you see a zoo keeper come by and douse the coals with lighter fluid.

Peter was reunited with his buddy. He's so happy to have a boy to play rough with.

And new for us at the zoo this time was a baby tapir. Tapirs smell bad, and are not so attractive an animal (the male can spray you with his fart - seriously). But this baby was CUTE - sniffing us with his short elephant nose and showing us his teeth. Another mom and I were happy to see that he had not been fed to the lions...but we also realized that that one monkey cage was awfully sparse this time around.

At swimming this week they used flippers, making Peter a speed demon.
