We got back safe and sound late Saturday afternoon. We were lucky enough that Sunday was the 1st Sunday of the month - that means that the stores would be open. I was on a mission to fill our fridge. Rich on the other hand was hoping to get a Santa on a rope (a fun xmas decoration that they do here), but the stores were completely void of any Christmas items whatsoever. I guess the merry ends promptly with the new year.
I had one present hidden away at home for Peter to open when we got back. It was a boy jewelry box I found at *nice* toy store in Svenborg. The picture on the outside is a knight and dragon, and inside there is a spinning dragon with music (vs a ballerina). And if you know Peter, you know he likes jewelry - or any sort of body adornment.
Today he's back at daycare. No arguing or crying when I dropped him off, which I took to be a good sign. He was not overly happy to be coming back to DK. So when he starts to get sad, I just remind him that we'll soon be having a playgroup birthday party for him. That usually does the trick.
