Tra La La

This will be a photo catch-up post since we haven't encountered any momentous occasions lately.

Two weeks ago playgroup had a private tour (friend-of-a-friend kind-of-thing) of a veterinarian school here in Odense. I forgot my camera (and purse and everything else) that day, but a friend sent me these shots. The neatest part of the tour was probably the rain forest room - complete with crocodiles. Since it was a tour, the kids got to touch/hold snakes, turtles, and other reptiles.

So in the first picture our guide was going to nuke the crocodile so we could see that it tastes like chicken. Ok, I lie. He brought the little guy out from someplace (where I cannot say, it was almost like a magic trick) after we left the rain forest room.

Pete got out his astronaut stuff last week. What makes it funny is that astronaut play is NOT complete (cannot happen; no way, no how) unless he wears the space shuttle pin at the same time.

And this Friday playgroup met at the Lion's Den. Since it wasn't a holiday week, we had the place pretty much to ourselves until after lunchtime. Its a little like watching monkeys at the zoo, only sometimes you have to go in for a rescue.

Construction of the Halloween costumes continues. Clue # 2 - not a plant or animal.
