Cat for a day

This weekend, a mall in Odense hosted some pre-Halloween activities including pumpkin carving, face painting, kiddie grogg, and witches (later that night Peter asked if they were real, I said no - if they were real they would have eaten you). Danes have a Halloween-ish holiday sometime in the spring. But the American-type Halloween is becoming more popular. Still no trick-or-treating; but they like the pumpkins and dressing up. Pete was *in character* from the moment he got his face painted. The long day ended with him soaking his feet, and eating roasted pumpkin seeds.

It was sunny, fairly warm, and only slightly breezy on Sunday. We took advantage of the nice weather and went for a walk on a new beach, and a stop at a favorite playground.

And Rich spent some of Sunday working on our Halloween costumes...can you guess what we're going to be? The first "thing" Rich and I went to when we started dating was a Halloween Party. We were each an ear of corn. But not this time. Clue # 1 - its something Danish.
