Let's See...Today we waited in line (45 minutes) at a police kind of office. I think they put our visas in our passports. There were large groups of Arabs (maybe), Russians, maybe eastern Europeans, one Spanish speaking lady, and a lot of other people waiting to get the same thing. At that place you got a number and they called you in order of the number.
Next we went to the place were you get the CPR number/card. You need this thing for EVERYTHING. We got a number at that line, which happened to also be sequential for that range (for example, we had number 550, which came after 549, but is was mixed in with the 200's, 800's, etc.), so you kind of knew you would be coming up but you really didn't know when that would be. This took another hour or so.
In the moment, these waiting times seems interminable. Jotting the times down, it doesn't sound so very bad. Ahh...retrospect.
After those two places Pete had enough, so Rich dropped us off back at the hotel. He went with Pia (the assistant at his work assigned to help us out) to talk with the housing people about the things that need to be fixed in our new place. NEW - its NEW!
One toilet is broke.
The doorbell is stuck.
The washer doesn't fit where is should.
The fridge doesn't fit where it should.
The dishwasher fits, but the door doesn't fold down the whole way because the radiator is in the way.
To give you an idea of what talking to these people (the Danes) is like, here is one example. Rich told them that the dishwasher didn't open. The rental lady asked him, in a serious way, well - do you think you put it in the right spot? Honey, its in that spot under the counter in the kitchen, near the sink - where else would we put it. Maybe we should switch it and the washing machine. Really, I don't care.
We stopped at Ikea around 5:30 pm, and it was much more bearable than on a Saturday. I got most of what we needed (I hope), but I still need to find pillows and comforters. Then we start camping at the house until the moving truck arrives - which will not be any sooner than next Wednesday. Yikes!

I don't fault you a bit for going to Mac and D's- whatever it takes to get you through this. Can you video yourself giving some impressions of the Danes? It's missing something without the facial expressions you gave us in the office. Good luck setting up house.
