I Hear the Bells

Last week, Grandma and Grandpa Barrett took Pete to his first musical – Madeline’s Christmas. We had great seats near the front and center, so Pete could see that these were real little girls, singing and dancing. He sat still and quiet through the whole thing (1 hour and 10 minutes according to Grandpa), with a few questions here and there.

He really did take it all in. Now he’ll do some weird thing at home - like yesterday with every sip of hot coco he made a noise and shivered. He said he was “doing it like the magic guy” from the musical.

And…baker Rich showed Pete how to make a gingerbread house this weekend. Rich wanted to make it detailed and interesting – Pete just wanted to eat the frosting and candies.

I don’t know why, but Pete has been asking about the gingerbread man story lately, and I honestly couldn’t remember anything other than…Run, Run, as fast as you can…you know the rest. And what was at the front of the fairy tale bin at the library yesterday – yep. Life is all fun and games until a fox tricks you into jumping into his mouth.
