I made it Copenhagen safe and sound. And, now that we've paid 120 Kroner for a 24 hour login and password, I can go online for while. The first photo is most people's idea of Denmark. Nyhaven (or new port). This afternoon we took a one hour boat tour around this popular harbor area. Afterwards we shared an open face sandwich (fried fish on rye with "remoulade"). Rich had a beer, and I had a Gammel Dansk. This is a very small wine glass (holds probably a shot) of a high alcohol liqueur made from caraway seeds. I liked it (the waitress thought I might not, and brought me a glass of water - just in case). Then we walked around Copenhagen for a while before heading on to Odense. (Those two dudes in the kayaks were taking a break, having a few beers). Seemed like a lot of people's idea of a Sunday afternoon was to get some beer and go and sit by the harbor. Not that bad of an idea I guess.
Oops! Did I sneak a photo of Pete in here? Turns out I was wrong about the boomerang. It didn't quite say "I Love Jesus"; but I think I was close enough.
Click on the photos for a closer view.
This is the view from our hotel in Copenhagen. Miles of tiled roofs. However, the tiles are all concave, versus convex like in Mexico.

The highlight of the day? Traveling on the bridge between islands (from Copenhagen to Odense). I believe I read that it is the longest suspension bridge in the world. Its up really high, and you're on it a really long time. And, just when that seems scary enough you think, hey, where did the light rail train go? Its got to be here somewhere? Well yes, its UNDER THE WATER! As we approached the land side of our trip I saw one train heading down into the abysse that is the Baltic Sea.
