Last night was Pete’s last T-ball game of the season. He spent most of his time in the outfield picking on the first baseman. Pete doesn’t like it that the same kid ALWAYS gets to play first base. He dealt with it by standing two inches in front of the kid and staring and smiling (mischievously) at him. This really bugged the other kid who started out saying – I’m playing first base, you go over there. Stuff like that. But Pete is persistent, and seeing that he was getting a rise out of the kid only fueled his fire, and, overall, I think Pete felt that his goal for the evening was accomplished.
And, I made babaganoosh by myself last night. My roasted eggplants peeled really well, and were very juicy. I mulled (is that right?) the garlic and added tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, and S&P. What a mess, but it sure tasted good.
