It was a rainy and cold weekend - and it was still hard to keep Pete from being Jungle Boy. He did NOT want to wear pants at all. He insists on soft (jogging) pants, and we only have a few pairs of those. We finally got out of the house on Sunday evening and went on a very successful worm hunt.
On Saturday we went and saw Shrek 3 (pretty funny), and previously I bought the TMNT movie so we watched that too. Now he can get all crazy ninja whenever he wants to. I remember when my uncle’s kid Christopher watched the original turtles show, and how crazy he got. Now I’m letting my kid do the same. Ahhhh, tradition.
(minor) Mystery Solved
The purple plant that I saw along the Credit River the other day is none other than the Great Lobelia. (I saw it in the wetland at the office today.) I got this photo off the web, and it shows the striped inflated tube on the underside of the flower nicely.
